Join WWF this February and take on a Big Winter Wander .
We're asking everyone to walk 10 miles during the week of 18th – 26th February , and for children you can take on a Mini Winter Wander of 5 miles instead! When you collect your first donation, you'll receive a WWF pin badge and when you hit your £100 target, you’ll also receive our exclusive Big Winter Wander eco medal.
Planning your walk is simple. Choose where you walk, invite family and friends and ask everyone joining to donate to take part. When you sign up, we’ll give you all the resources you need to explore the nature around you and plan an unforgettable Big Winter Wander for everyone.
On your wander, you might notice... ...there's less wildlife than there used to be. That's because nature is in freefall: we're destroying our forests, polluting our rivers and oceans, and causing devastating changes to the climate. WWFs Living Planet Report shows average population sizes of wildlife have declined by 68% since 1970. The climate crisis is threatening the places we love, right on our doorsteps and all over the world. The parks you played in, the trees you climbed and the trails you walk. We're seeing the effects on our own doorstep: the UK is in the bottom 10% of countries globally when it comes to the abundance of nature. We're urgently tackling the underlying causes that are driving the decline and we're finding solutions so future generations have a world with thriving habitats and wildlife.
By organising a Big Winter Wander, you’re taking a step in the right direction to protect the places you love and bring our world back to life.
